On 23 July 2020 LACP supported 7 tractors to 7 seed multiplication group (SMGs): Chum village, Cheng village, Phonkham village, Nakhong village, Pakhang village, Phatao village and Nongphong village in Tholakhom District, Vientiane Province. The handover ceremony was presided over by Mr. Bounthap Vongxay, Deputy Mayor of Thulakhom District, who is also the project director at the district level and was attended by Mrs. Khanamany Inpaiyalath, Deputy Director of Vientiane Province Agriculture and Forestry both as the LACP supervisor and Mr. Phouthone Sririphanthong, National Project Director. The handover ceremony was also participated by project coordinator in provincial level, technical staff from provincial and district agriculture and forestry departments and farmer groups in each village.
The propose of the supporting is to encourage and promote the production of good and quality seeds, build the capacity to use good seeds varieties and be able to supply quality seeds to farmer production groups (FPGs).
