The kick-off meeting for the 10^th implementation support mission of LACP was held on 06 September 2023 at Don Chan Palace Hotel. The meeting was Co-chaired by Dr. Boundeth Southavilay, Deputy Director General of Department of Planning and Cooperation and Mr. Binh Thang Cao Task Team Leader from the World Bank. Attended by DG and DDG form departments and institutes of MAF and MOIC, Provincial Department of Agriculture and Forestry from the target provinces, WB team and relevant stakeholders. The implementation of the project has been carried out until the end of the 05th year which is the last period of the project and as a review of the progress and results of the implementation at the end of the project, follow-up the agreed action plan from the last mission in February 2023, review the results of the indicators for the implementation of the investment plan of the rice production group that certified good agricultural practice or GAP, the business plan of the Agri-business participated and contributed to the project, consultation with the relevant government departments to agree on the concept design of the schedule and detailed activities for the preparation of the new project and to extension of the success of this project said by Dr. Boundeth Southavilay. In the meeting Mr. Phanisone Samountry National Project Coordinator reported the success of the implementation of the project especially, contribute the project to food security work and promote produces for income to farmer and rice miller to make them benefit from the project.
